joyce is one of my dearest friends from HS.. she was been our classmate only up to third year but still she is active in our "get together" and "gimik".. her birthday was last oct28.. it will be the first time after so many years that she's going to celebrate it here in laguna.. she studies in Baguio, that is why.. you know.. so we, her classmates surprised her.. we went to her house, brought food.. with the help of Yoko, Joyce's sister, we were successful in surprising her and Reniel.. Reniel's birthday was oct29.. before we went there.. Reniel is with us and he had no idea of what we are up to.. until the time we surprised Joyce and him.. there was even tears of joy because he really did not know what to do.. hehehe we had lumpia, cordon bleu, rice .. that were cooked by the one and the only queen of delicious food.. tita Rosy.. and there is casava cake prepared by Paw.. we had a lot of fun specially because of Abegail.. it was been a long time since she joined us in our "get together".. that is why she was in the hot seat.. and we really missed her!.. hehehe we really had a grand time.. around 10pm we went to Paseo de Sta Rosa to check out the scene and after that we brought Paw to infonxx where she works then.. went home.. Happy birthday also to SJ, Ryel and Rachel!!!
after a good sleep.. i packed my things and moved out to Manila! hehehe it is my new home for the next six months or so.. i will be staying there with my brother.. the place is so very much fine with me.. i know i will enjoy my stay there... hehehe

Erwin or whatever your name is, you make me so jealous! I miss Phillipines oh so much! I'm aware of the study conducted by Reader's Digest that Phillipines is almost in the bottom of the list when it comes to people's character (i.e. politeness, courtesy, etc.) and that Manila is one of the cheapest cities in the world to live in considering it's probably as big as New York. But Pinoys are uber duper trendy and technologically more advanced than North Americans when it comes to gadgets and toys. (Those gadgets are hard to come by in N. America, and if they're available, they cost an arm and a leg!) But you know what, that doesn't really deter me from wanting to move back to Phillipines. The pix you post make me drool [the panoramic scenes are oh so 'gohguz'(gorgeous)] and the stories you tell just make me green with envy! Anyways, make me salivate some more, puhleeze! I just might pack up and drop everything - and everyone - and hie off to La Islas Filipinas! =D

Japan and Korea are two of the most expensive places on the planet to live on - especially Japan, plus Japanese are racist to their fellow Asians and even to other non Asian nationalities who don't speak their language! Besides, Japan gets a lot of earthquakes way too much! Hahaha! I'd settle for good ol' Phillipines, never mind the typhoons and the flooding - at least it's nice to cuddle up in bed with your boyfriend or spend the day reading; catching up on your recorded favourite shows like Oprah, The Tyra Show, America's Next Top Model, Project Runway, Ugly Betty, Supernatural, Ghost Whisperer, Heroes, Survivor, Amazing Race, and Prison Break; surfing the net; spoiling your neglected Siamese cats rotten; and cooking karekare and making leche flan and brazo de mercedes with your boyfriend. Phillipines was home to me, and it'll forever be home to me. I know most Pinoys just want to get their visas and passports, take the first plane out of the country and forget they're pinoy, and when other people ask them who and what they are, their answer would be: "Fil-Chi-Span" and "Fil-Span". It's silly, but those are the typical answers I hear a lot from 99.9999% pinoys when there's the screaming truth that that Pinoys are just plain Pinoys unless you see someone like the current Pinoy heartthrobs or hotbabes with foreign sounding names - which is quite rare, to put it bluntly! Why do Pinoys put down their own kind? Anyways. let's not get deeper here. That's the difference between Japanese/Koreans/Chinese/Indians and Phillipinos. The former are so proud of their roots whereas Pinoys, well, "I'm 1/4 Spanish, I/4 American, 1/4 Chinese, 1/4 Filipino, 1/4 Irish, 1/4 black American, 1/4 Italian..." and so on. Wait up. Does that make sense? Can pinoys actually do math? Hahaha! Sarcasm and joke aside, I wish pinoys would put a stop to their fantasy and start taking pride in their identity and ethnicity. Pinoys have a beautiful skin colour, look different from other Asians, are very adaptable and hospitable, are very resilient, and are very hardworking. The "mixed blood" thingy has gone way overboard. Drop it, people! It's insane, and it's embarrassing. Thanks, Erwin, for letting me post here. =)
you're welcome! no problem with that.. i agree with what you said but let's not generalize it.. there are, still, Pinoys all around the world that are proud of their color. honestly, i want to go abroad.. find a job, earn money, explore new things, enjoy the place.. and the best part --> GO BACK HOME! reality check: there are a lot of things happening our country that are not good.. but still.. it's still and will always be HOME.. where the most loving family and happiest people live..
